This project was produced and conceptualised in association with the Dartington Hall Trust who funded the project for their campsite. This gave me an opportunity to design and work with timber in a much more tactile environment due to the clients limited budget and their strict brief specifications.

The 'The Big Tent' was intended for use by campsite visitors within the Dartington estate. It offers a place of retreat out of the rough, windy weather and can be setup for a range of activities. One advantage to this design over other shelters is that it is not permanent and so can be rebuilt elsewhere or taken down in winter.
