The Plymouth University Cafe project was a competition carried out at the start of third year and consisted of mixed year groups separately working on the same brief to redevelop the on campus cafe for a contemporary environment with a cost limitation. Our design focuses on the atmosphere that a custom made wood canopy could create including green walls and sustainable sourced furniture. Our renders highlight how the wave like canopy extends the shape of Drakes Reservoir into the cafe making use of the high ceiling as a feature rather than wasted space.
